Our commitment to accessible transportation and digital experiences

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Allstar Limousine & Tours is committed to ensuring that our website, our services, and our vehicles are accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to reliable, comfortable transportation in Houston, and we are dedicated to removing barriers that might prevent any person from using our services or accessing information on our website. Accessibility is not just a legal obligation — it is a core value that reflects our commitment to serving the diverse Houston community.

Website Accessibility Standards

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Our ongoing accessibility efforts include adherence to WCAG 2.1 AA standards, regular accessibility audits, and continuous improvements to our website based on user feedback and evolving best practices.

Accessible Features of Our Website

We have implemented the following accessibility features on our website to ensure a positive experience for all users:

  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements on our website, including menus, links, buttons, and forms, can be accessed and operated using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse or other pointing device.
  • Skip navigation link:A "Skip to main content" link is provided at the top of every page, allowing keyboard and screen reader users to bypass the navigation menu and jump directly to the primary content area.
  • Semantic HTML structure: Our pages use proper heading hierarchies (H1 through H6), landmark roles, and semantic HTML elements to ensure that screen readers and assistive technologies can accurately interpret and convey the structure and content of each page.
  • Alternative text for images: All meaningful images on our website include descriptive alternative text (alt attributes) so that screen reader users can understand the content and purpose of visual elements.
  • Color contrast: We maintain sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors throughout our website, meeting or exceeding WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast requirements of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Resizable text: Our website supports browser text resizing and zoom functionality. Content remains readable and functional when text is enlarged up to 200 percent.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided on all interactive elements, making it clear which element is currently selected when navigating by keyboard.
  • Descriptive link text:Links on our website use descriptive, meaningful text that conveys the purpose or destination of the link, rather than generic phrases like "click here."
  • Form accessibility: All form fields include associated labels, clear instructions, and error messages that are programmatically associated with the relevant fields for screen reader compatibility.
  • ARIA attributes: Where appropriate, we use Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) attributes to provide additional context and functionality for assistive technology users, particularly for interactive components like navigation menus and dynamic content.

Accessible Vehicles and Transportation Services

Beyond our website, we are committed to providing accessible ground transportation services. Our accessibility accommodations include:

  • Mobility chair accessible vehicles: We offer vehicles that can accommodate passengers using mobility chairs and wheelchairs. Please inform us at the time of booking if you or a member of your party uses a mobility chair so we can assign an appropriately equipped vehicle and prepare for a smooth boarding experience.
  • Assistance with boarding: Our professional chauffeurs are trained to assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, handling luggage, and providing any reasonable assistance needed during the trip. Do not hesitate to communicate your needs — our team is here to help.
  • Service animals: Service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are always welcome in all of our vehicles at no additional charge. We do not require documentation for service animals, in accordance with ADA guidelines.
  • Communication accommodations: If you have hearing or speech difficulties and prefer to communicate via text or email rather than phone, we are fully equipped to handle your booking, confirmation, and day-of coordination through written communication channels.
  • Flexible pickup assistance: For passengers who may need additional time to board the vehicle or who require curbside assistance at the pickup location, our chauffeurs are prepared to wait and provide hands-on help. Please let us know about any special requirements when you make your reservation.

Reporting Accessibility Issues

We are committed to continuously improving the accessibility of our website and services. If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our website, have difficulty accessing any content or functionality, or have suggestions for how we can improve accessibility, we want to hear from you. Please contact us with the following information:

  • A description of the accessibility issue you encountered
  • The page URL or location on the website where the issue occurred
  • The assistive technology you were using (if applicable), including the screen reader, browser, and operating system
  • Your preferred method of contact so we can follow up

We take all accessibility feedback seriously and will make every reasonable effort to address reported issues promptly. Our goal is to respond to accessibility-related inquiries within 5 business days and to implement fixes or provide alternative solutions as quickly as possible.

Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website and services through regular accessibility audits and testing, staff training on accessibility best practices, incorporating accessibility into our design and development processes from the ground up, staying current with evolving accessibility standards and guidelines, and actively seeking feedback from users with disabilities to identify and address real-world barriers. As web technologies evolve and accessibility standards are updated, we will continue to review and enhance our website to meet or exceed current best practices.

Third-Party Content

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services (such as booking platforms, maps, and social media widgets) that are not under our control. While we select third-party partners who share our commitment to accessibility, we cannot guarantee that all third-party content meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards. If you encounter accessibility issues with third-party content on our website, please let us know and we will work with the relevant third party to address the issue or provide an accessible alternative.
